BETA Serbia was established in February 2019 by four members of Bringing Europeans Together Association - BETA Europe, as a Serbian national branch of the European youth association. Our flagship project is annual conference - Belgrade Model European Union (BEUM). Our goals are to work on the development of the civil society, promote informal education, promote intercultural exchanges, and encouraging debate between citizens and policy-makers.
BETA Europe is a politically independent and non-profit association, originally founded in Germany in 2008, but become federal European youth association in 2018. Their name stands for Bringing Europeans Together Association because, which is their mission: to strengthen the European society by encouraging democratic processes and consciousness about the plurality of European identities, both on national and international level.
